Amazing Ritte Van Vlaanderen Bikes Born From Irreverence on Wired
SANTA MONICA, California — Spencer Canon didn’t set out to start a bicycle company. He just wanted a kit that didn’t suck. He found the jerseys and shorts road riders wear boring. Uninspired. So he designed his own, black with light blue and red and yellow stripes. The old-school Belgian vibe looked great, but it needed something. It needed a story.

Path to Odyseuss on Another Something & Company
As a loyal fan of the work of Mikael Kennedy we couldn’t let this unnoticed. Lendl Tellington, Ricky Leighton and Theo Constantinou of Paradigm Magazine made this lovely teaser on Mikael Kennedy and his photo series The Odyseuss. Mikael took them on a trip back in time as he showed his photography and journals, all chronicling a journey with the American Landscape. On Februrary 10th, Mikael will be showing ‘The Odyseuss’, curated by Paradigm Magazine, in Studio Christensen, 333 South 20th St, Philadelphia, PA. After February, ‘The Odyseuss’ will no longer be exhibited, which is a shame… So, if you are around make sure to go there!

Minimalux on Another Something & Company
Minimalux, a London based design brand, got some lovely items in their collection. Modern collections of desk objects, table objects and accessories all with great simplicity and splendor, made out of premium materials and lustrous finishing. Our favorite is definitely this ballpoint pen made from a single fluid sleeve of lasting solid brass. The pen is not plated or lacquered in any way, thus allowing its surface finish to change with use and age – eventually developing a rich natural patina and becoming uniquely personal to its owner. We very much like that!

A Restless Transplant
“I had nowhere to be and time to kill. The Coleman cooler in the back was packed with enough food and ice to last me a few days. The Syncro’s fuel gauge was just north of 3/4. Quick-mental-math. 230 mile range. Freedom…”

BKLYN Dry Goods x D.S. & DurgaSpent Musket Oil Fragrance on Hypebeast
Brooklyn Navy Yard born & bred vintage pop-up brand BKLYN Dry Goods launched its first scent – the aptly titled Spent Musket Oil with D.S. & Durga during New York’s biggest fragrance event this week. With a limited release of just 175 50ml bottles, Spent Musket Oil takes its cue from the other worldly aroma of a Barbary Wars-era rifle found in the hold of a packet ship in the Brooklyn Navy Yards with accords of vintage birch wood, spent rifle oil and dried leather hilt warmed by Cavendish tobacco. Using D.S. & Durga’s bottle, BKLYN Dry Goods wrapped the French-made glass vessel in leather cord, affixing to it a pair of custom-inscribed stainless military dog tags. Spent Musket Oil will be available in the coming weeks at select shops throughout the country, BKLYN Dry Goods’ own website and through the brand’s monthly pop-up shops.

Road Inc. on Another Something & Company
Where Cyclepedia was the must-have app for bike lovers, Road Inc. is it for car-lovers. It’s is a museum like experience with fully interactive Anthology of Cars. ‘Richer than the heaviest book, deeper than a video collection, more immersive than a game, Road Inc. offers users a whole new way of experiencing this most rich and fascinating of subject areas – legendary automobiles!’ A truly ‘classic-car enthusiast dream app’ as the NY Times puts it. The app is made by Bowyer, a group of people with some really interesting apps and projects in their portfolio. Keep an eye on them!
